Live from New York...

Our day today actually started last night around 1:30 am, when we decided to go down to Rockefeller Center and stand in line for SNL standby tickets.

It was completely worth it. We borrowed blankets and extra clothes and took little naps on the sidewalk outside the building. At 7 am, we got our standby tickets for the SNL dress rehearsal. (Everyone gets tickets, but those in line earlier get a higher priority to get into the studio.)

After sleeping all morning, we headed downtown to shop/eat/head to 30 Rock for the show. We were about 30th or so to get into the rehearsal, and we were some of the last people to get in.

It was totally worth it. The show was fantastic (and about twice as long as the broadcast show)! We had what Jason Sudeikis referred to as the "crap seats." But as it turns out, the studio is so small that there are sketches being filmed in every corner, so our seats were not as crappy as I expected.

EDIT: Photos!

Waiting in the SNL standby line. This is around 6 am.
