We spent the afternoon in SoHo shopping

And then we went to Chinatown and Little Italy to eat some more!
After that, we headed down to Rockefeller Center intending to ice skate, but the line was an hour long... So we took fantastic pictures in front of the giant Christmas tree instead.

Also in front of the Rainbow Room sign (which is now closed :( ). Supposedly Paul McCartney and Billy Joel were inside filming for SNL, so that was pretty cool.
And then we wandered down to Times Square to do some shopping!
Sarah, the 1st time I ever went to NYC in the late 70's I had the same reaction you did when a lady on the street asked me for directions to Sak's. I kind of chuckled and said I was visiting for the 1st time, but I THINK it's that way! Luckily, I had just passed it.
