I'm a slug!

This is the first time in--*counts on fingers*--nine months that I have had nothing that I need to do. During the school year, there's always a problem set, a quiz, an exam that's not far enough away to ignore. Even over the Christmas holidays there were applications to fill out for summer positions.

But in this little interim between the end of my semester and the start of my research, I have nothing to do. It is wonderful.

Right now my main activities include:

  • sleeping
  • eating
  • watching Doctor Who
  • watching other types of television
  • reading
  • preparing for Camp NaNoWriMo (campnanowrimo.org)
  • baking
  • knitting
  • the internet
  • being a slug
I am relishing this, because I know I'll miss it when work/school start up again.

Have you seen our cat?

Oh, have you seen our cat?

Alas and alack, this adorableness is missing:

This is Oreo's evil face. Otherwise known as her tired face.
We last saw her on Saturday (when Andrew and Ashley got married YAY!) and we have not seen her since.

We have posters! and flyers! and a facebook page! (for which the username is oh-so-cleverly "findoreo")

Here, look at some more pictures of her:

Oreo is preparing to wage war upon the doorframe.

Oreo is a Wild Kitty.

Oreo has deep thoughts.

Oreo is a model kitty.

Oreo does not like her collar.

Oreo is a kitten.

Oreo is just sooooo cooooooool.

Oreo is adorable.

Oreo is too cool for school.

Oreo is looking at your soul.
Okay so Emily wants me to say that she "misses Oreo dearly." So now I have and she will maybe leave me alone about it.

Also now I am going to be an internet sensation because I posted all these cat pictures!

Have you ever seen such a well-made poster? Gosh, people should just pay this person to make missing pet posters for a living.

Funtimes! :D

Finals. They're over!

And besides the immense relief of NO MORE STUDYINGGGG--*ahem*--there's also the fact that I get to hang around for almost a week and do nothing!

And by nothing I mean all of the fun things in Houston.

  • Houston Museum of Natural Science
  • MFAH
  • The Hunger Games (again)
  • Galveston (again)
College - school = perfection.
